EUROPE CELEBRATES THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF ‘THE FINAL COUNTDOWN’ WITH THREE EXCLUSIVE CONCERTS IN SPAIN IN OCTOBER

Europe, the legendary Swedish hard rock band, announces its monumental return to Spain with the “The Final Countdown 40th Anniversary Tour”. This tour celebrates the 40th anniversary of the album that launched them to global stardom — a masterpiece that defined an entire generation.

Led by frontman Joey Tempest and featuring the classic lineup — John Norum (guitar), John Levén (bass), Mic Michaeli (keyboards), and Ian Haugland (drums) — Europe will deliver an unprecedented live show in tribute to their iconic album ‘The Final Countdown’, which they will perform in full. Additionally, the band will thrill fans with a carefully curated selection of greatest hits from their extensive discography, spanning more than ten studio albums.

Released in 1986, ‘The Final Countdown’ had a massive worldwide impact, featuring immortal anthems such as the title track “The Final Countdown”, as well as hits like “Carrie” and “Rock The Night”. These songs helped the band sell over 25 million records and solidify their status as one of the cornerstones in rock history. After a hiatus in the 1990s, Europe returned in 2003, proving that their legacy is timeless — and that their music extends far beyond their iconic ’80s hits. The band has since released acclaimed albums such as ‘Start From The Dark’ (2004), ‘Bag Of Bones’ (2012), and ‘Walk The Earth’ (2017), exploring a heavier, more modern sound rooted in blues rock.

This resurgence has reaffirmed Europe’s reputation as a formidable live band, with an unwavering commitment to musical excellence, artistic evolution, and their fans — something audiences will witness across their three Spanish dates in 2026. The special guest for all three shows will be The Damn Truth, the powerful rock and roll quartet from Montreal (Canada), led by charismatic vocalist Lee-la Baum, who will open the concerts with their raw and energetic sound.
